Born 1984, lives and works in London, UK.

2003-12: ceramicist/sculptor. Having undergone a three year apprenticeship in traditional wheel-thrown pottery, I became a sculptor. Exhibited widely throughout the UK and Europe. In 2012 I sold my kiln and equipment to buy a camera and move to London, having spent most of my time in the countryside.

2012-present: working almost exclusively in photography based work. Represented for commercial work by Mark George 2015-20. Taylor Wessing/John Kobal award winner in 2016. Clients since 2012 include Adidas, Wired, GQ, National Portrait Gallery (permanent collection) among many others.

Education/life beyond what you see on this website:

Now: Commercial, advertising, TV, corporate, still life photography and all sorts of other commissions. Basically everything that is not weddings or private parties.

Adult: Freelance photographic assisting for more than 30 different photographers across most genres. I was mostly hired to help design and set up lighting on larger shoots based on the feel that the photographers were trying to achieve, and look after all the techy stuff like cameras/computers. In the beginning I was head tea boy of course.

Adult: freelance sculptor and potter.

Young Adult: UWIC: BA (hons) ceramic sculpture, 1st.

Young Adult: Apprenticeship under Jeremy Sharp/Camelia Botnar Foundation for handmade pottery, 3 years.

Young: BTEC and HND in Music Technology.

Young: Some GCSE’s, a Princes Trust course and a few dead end jobs including bookie, human A-board and care home assistant.

Child-Adult: Music obsessed, couldn’t stop listening to anything and everything, would have been art obsessed too if there was more access to it.
